Hi, I have lot of Raster/Vector data for which tiles needs to be generated, using geoserver and geowebcache combination, it is taking a lot of time and lot of load on the WMS server. Vector data served via oracle datastores. as the data size is huge.
So, I am planning to precut the tiles offline, not sure how much benefit I would get, but atleast I can do the tiling offline on multiple desktop machine and then transfer it. Is there are some interface/java api/utility in geoserver internals which does something like Something like MapTiles or gdal2tiles, can be used to generate files in the format that geowebcache understand directly.
