Issue Type: Bug Bug
Affects Versions: 2.2.2
Assignee: Andrea Aime
Components: Security
Created: 23/May/13 8:31 AM
Description:

In my GeoServer installation it is not possible to use LDAP with recursive search / subtree search.

For example:

LDAP structure is looking like this:

basedn: dc=acme,dc=org

and following

ou=europe,ou=users

ou=usa,ou=users

I have users in ou europe and ou usa which all should have access to geoserver.

As stated in the instructions for ldap I would have to use either uid=

{0},ou=europe,ou=users or uid={0}

,ou=usa,ou=users

Using uid=

{0}

,ou=users does not work.

Is there a way to set a configuration to get users of both ou?

Environment: RHEL 6.4 / Tomcat 7
Project: GeoServer
Priority: Major Major
