Description:

There may be a technical workaround, but its not obvious.. so I file a bug.
I have a PostGIS table with 200 columns.. to view a column, I defined a style with filter attributes.. so the layer name is always the same, but many many styles.
When finally using WMS directly, I found that I could not append style= or styles= to the IRL to get an image.. it replied 'style does not exist'.. The style was defined in the same workspace as the layer..
On IRC Tom Kunicki suggested I redefine the style "globally", with no workspace. This in fact worked.. Please note that QGis 1.8 *from the GetCapabilities* also got it wrong. SO, its not just me being un-informed.
