It means a service exception got thrown.
Given that the build works on the official Linux Build server, on the JDK 7
build server, and the Windows build server too,
it seems something tied to your specific enviroment, and there it should be
debugged.
Hmm... wondering if the failure might be tied to out of date geotools jars,
we had had issues in the past with people trying
to build only geoserver locally because they get old snapshot jars
occasionally (but never managed to figure out why).
