The documentation has been updated with the new GUI option, the pngj code
merged in the
GeoServer PNG encoder, and more tests have been added to cover cases like
the one
reported some time ago, with 4bit per pixel data stored in unsigned short
data buffers.
Not sure if anyone wants to have a look? Let me know. If I don't hear back
the plan is to
merge in the first days of 2014.
