GeoServer core developers... anyone with an opinion?
At this point it's late and we're not going to make the feature freeze
(which is a pity)
but I don't want to let drop this one drop.
And btw, even an opinion like "apply the patches as is, we'll fix the mess
later" is not out of the table,
I don't like it personally, but I hate to have people try to contribute and
giving them the could shoulder
more...
