After a layer's cache is disabled, when you return in the UI it is enabled again.
-
Go to Tile Layers
-
Click on any of the tile layers in the list to open settings
-
Disable Enable tile caching for this layer
-
Click Save
-
The Tile Layers list will show the layer as disabled
-
Click on the same layer again to enter the settings
-
The Enable tile caching for this layer box is checked again
-
At this point Cancel will leave it disabled and Save will enable it
