Due to locking issues experimented by a customer we created an alternative AuthenticationCache implementation based on Guava Cache, that is really simple and allows all of the original LRUAuthenticationCacheImpl functionalities to be handled internally by Guava (also the locking stuff).
We propose to test this new implementation as the default one for Geoserver security subsystem.
