Hi, I've just committed on master the changes that have been discussed in the two windows related threads that are on this list.
I can attest they seem to work fine on a VM loaded with Windows 7 32 bit with a full powers user, I don't have any other windows enviroment handy so that's as far as I will go. r Hopefully that's going to be good enough, if not, maybe othe people with an interest in having GeoServer run fine on Windows will chime in and provide further patches/testing.
