Wrong! geoserver-nightly-master was the only one that correctly runs assembly:attached for the top-level pom. (Pressing the Advanced button reveals the second goal was for community/pom.xml, so this was not a duplicate.) I added assembly:attached for all branch nightlies to try to fix geoserver-2.5.x-nightly and geoserver-2.5.x-nightly and kicked the latter.
