Release time

Q: GEOS-6669 CSS Style destroyed when using "CSS Styles" page

Justin has a pull request here:

Anyone in position to review and test?

Action: (Jody) Merge and ask list to test nightly build :)

Q: GEOS-6674 WMS Cascade Image in non native CRS

Latest update: not sure when a fix will be available.

Would like to confirm this is a blocker, wms cascade functionality is
apparently well used.

Guess we will have to stay tuned on this.
- if we treat it as a blocker it may delay the release?
- if it is not fixed we need to note this regression in the announcement (and
possibly issue a point release?)

Q: Who is in position to release?

Justin? Jody? Andrea? Ben? Ian Turton? Kevin Smith? Victor Tey?

Does not look like we have any of the usual suspects in position to do the
release?

Action: (Ben) Ask on the mailing list.

Q: Anything else?

We need to coordinate with Kevin Smith around GWC. That project has been
donated to OSGeo - and needs to update its headers before release.

Action: (Jody) will check to see about Kevin's availability.

How did we do at FOSS4G
-----------------------

Big thanks to Ian Turton, and Eva Shon for help with GeoTools DataStore
tutorial.

- DataStore workshop is live:
http://docs.geotools.org/latest/userguide/tutorial/datastore/index.html
- CSS Module: some trouble with VM (costing 30 mins), made it through the rest
at about 45 mins a section. Great workshop covering about the same content as a
2 day SLD workshop.

A few unexpected community modules anounced:
- GeoFence being donated as a community module
- Clutering solutions from GeoSolutions and Boundless

Forgot to anounce Java 7 as a new feature :)

* marven got tested on multiple platforms, readme created, Ian Turton will
package as an extension
* etc... see blog: http://blog.geoserver.org/2014/09/14/java-code-sprint/

Pull Request Roundup
--------------------

n/a not enough developers here today

General Chatter
---------------

Ben got 2.5.x and 2.6.x nightly builds going again (thanks).

* AuScope Roadshow blog post coming soon ...

GeoServer REST Q&A on user list is by far the most popular topic - would be
good to get some docs/funding/help to improve this story?

Q: Can we hand out link to GeoSolutions Java library for external
configuration? https://code.google.com/p/geoserver-manager/wiki/Documentation
