Hi Alex, my suggestion is to split the pull request, so that you have 1
pull request (and hopefully 1 commit) for each jira you are going to solve.
This makes life easier for developers wishing to do a review, and so it
helps your pull request(s) to be accepted.

Just one note: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-6657 should already be
solved on master by a pull request I did during FOSS4G sprint. Can you try
a recent master-nightly and confirm or not?
