Hi list,
in reference to the community proposal for Coverage caching [1] I sent the
past week, we would like to use a separated tileLayerCatalog for that
module in order to not mix standard GWC tile layers with the coverage ones.
By this way, whenever the module is removed from GeoServer, the additional
Configuration instance specified there isn't used anymore by the
TileLayerDispatcher which won't access the coverage tileLayer.
Note that the current DefaultTileLayerCatalog implementation has a
baseDirectory field specifying the location where the GWC Tile layer
catalog is stored.
However, that is somehow "hardcoded".

No way to customize the baseDirectory.
We would like to customize that by adding a DefaultTileLayerCatalog
constructor containing a third "*baseDirectory*" parameter. The old
constructor will use this new one providing LAYERINFO_DIRECTORY as argument.
What do you think about it? Does it sounds reasonable?
