Hi Torben,
I'm in a rush trying to complete a proposal before Christmas so not going
to be much of a help, but there is one important thing you
should check: the build times.
The GeoServer integration tests use property data store a lot, make sure
that the build with the new store is not (significantly)
slower than with the old one.
I don't expect much of a difference, but better be safe than sorry, the
build historically got a lot slower in a couple of occasions
because people working on new features and refactors did not pay attention
to it, resulting in wasted time for everyone else.
