Hi,
The button that works looks like this in Firebug:
<div>
<input class="field checkbox" type="checkbox"
name="dataStoreEnabledPanel:paramValue" checked="checked">
<label class="choice">
<span>Enabled</span>
</label>
</div>
The button that does not listen looks like this in Firebug:
<div>
<span>
<input class="field checkbox" type="checkbox" name="enabledPanel:paramValue"
checked="checked">
<label class="choice">
<span>Enabled</span>
</label>
</span>
</div>
By making the non-responsing check box code to look similar than the responding
one by removing the <span> </span> pair with Firebug the check box started to
listen to me while still open in Firefox.
I apologize, I am still not a programmer and couldn’t find in which file and
where in the code these extra spans are.

Hi,
There is this open ticket about not responding check box
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-6036
I found another similar case on the Edit Raster Data Source page where the
“Enabled” check box can’t be toggled with Firefox 35.0.1 on Windows. The
Editable box on the vector store page works. I wonder if it could it be
possible to do some Find-Replace operation in the UI code and try to change all
boxes which do not work into same kind of boxes which work on the vector store
page.
I wish it was that easy. The issue is CSS related, does not have anything to do
with the UI control chosen. Someone with good understanding of how Firefox
interprets the CSS is needed to solve the issue.
If memory serves me right, It's the hit area of other nearby HTML elements that
is covering the checkbox making it impossible to click.
Cheers
Andrea
