On both those pages the direct download links under the title Packages are like
http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/geoserver/2.7.x/geoserver-master-latest-bin.zip
but they should be like
http://ares.boundlessgeo.com/geoserver/2.7.x/geoserver-2.7.x-latest-bin.zip
On the 2.6.x nightly page the User Guide link goes to latest
http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/
Other links are probably good.
