Thanks Andrea, the one "other" is of course myself :)
I would be happy to draw that up as a proposal so we do not need to take
this to a vote each year (if Java keeps up its release schedule).
I am fine with taking master to Java 8 when we set up a new branch during
creation of RC1. Kevin has already set up the build box with Java 8...
