Hi,

Both Windows installer and binary zip versions fail for me.
The error from Windows installer version is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoServer 2.8.0\bin>startup

C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoServer 2.8.0\bin>call "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre
1.8.0_60\bin\java.exe" -DGEOSERVER_DATA_DIR="C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoServer 2.
8.0\data_dir" -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m -DSTOP.PORT=8079 -DSTOP.KEY=geoserve
r -Djetty.port=8080 -Djetty.logs="C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoServer 2.8.0\logs" -
jar "C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoServer 2.8.0\start.jar"
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=128m; support wa
s removed in 8.0
WARNING: Module not found [ssl]
WARNING: Nothing to start, exiting ...

The directory “C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoServer 2.8.0” is right, installer puts
M0 there with the default settings.

Log from the binary zip trial is in the attachment.

Kevin was able to upload GWC to SF, but it has not appeared on
