in case it's of use to anyone, I've tried to update Kevin's copyright header
fixing script to 2016, here is what I have now:
sed -i 's/\(([cC])\) 2014 Open Source Geospatial Foundation/\1 2014 - 2016
Open Source Geospatial Foundation/' $(git diff-tree --no-commit-id
--name-only -r HEAD)
sed -i 's/\(([cC])\) 2014-2015 Open Source Geospatial Foundation/\1 2014 -
2016 Open Source Geospatial Foundation/' $(git diff-tree --no-commit-id
--name-only -r HEAD)
sed -i 's/\(([cC])\) 2014 - 2015 Open Source Geospatial Foundation/\1 2014
- 2016 Open Source Geospatial Foundation/' $(git diff-tree --no-commit-id
--name-only -r HEAD)
To use, first commit the changes (fixes only the files in the last commit,
so do that in a single commit), run the script, commit again
in case of changes and "fixup" via interactive rebase

PS: I believe this would be more concise and allow to catch more space
variations of the "from - to" specification, but I haven't tried it out yet:
