Hi all GeoServer users,

The next to come GeoServer version 2.9 will have user interface that is
upgraded to use Apache Wicket<http://wicket.apache.org/> version 7. You can
read more about what it means and about a successful code sprint from the blog
post
http://blog.geoserver.org/2016/01/25/geoserver-code-sprint-success/

The goal of the code sprint was to upgrade the wicket version and still keep
everything working as usual. The visual change for the users is almost nothing
at all. However, there are some changes which have introduced new texts into
the UI and some other texts may have changed. Therefore we encourage all those
who are using the localized versions of GeoServer to join the Transifex
translation project and review the translations at
https://www.transifex.com/GeoServer/geoserver/

The nightly 2.9 builds http://geoserver.org/release/master/ come already with
the Wicket 7 based user interface. Please have a look, play around, and report
the issues which you find on the geoserver-users mailing list.

On behalf of GeoServer PSC,

-Jukka Rahkonen-
