Chris, at today's committee meeting we agreed to upgrade ares to Maven 3.3.9.
Please install Maven 3.3.9 in /opt on ares (alongside the old 3.0.4): http://www-us.apache.org/dist/maven/maven-3/3.3.9/binaries/apache-maven-3.3.9-bin.tar.gz I will switch our builds to use the new Maven after Andrea has completed the release of GeoServer 2.8.3. Kind regards, Ben.
