Torben and Mike,

my understanding is that SC4O is used only for 3D WKT parsing to set up
the app-schema Oracle 3D test fixture. I expect that 3D geometries will
work without it for app-schema, as they do for simple features. The
problem is getting them into Oracle.

I have submitted a web form (copied below) enquiring as to whether the
updated code published in Simon's book (and the PACKT website) supports
Oracle 12g. I will report back if I receive a response.

Kind regards,
Ben.

Simon,

SC4O was used for GeoServer application schema plugin integration
testing for 3D geometries against Oracle 11g. However, the version
available from your website does not support Oracle older than 11g. A
community participant has offered to get these tests going again, but
has Oracle 12g:

SC4O is used for WKT parsing of 3D geometries:
http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/developer/programming-guide/app-schema/index.html#d-tests

- Does your book contain an updated version of SC4O with support for
Oracle 12g or later?

- Alternatively, does Oracle 12g support WKT parsing of 3D geometries?

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards,
Ben.

Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who
bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM
restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the
apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched!
