In revising the JAI/ImageIO documentation yesterday I was asked about
jai-ext.
For GeoServer 2.8 release cycle jai-ext went from being on by default to
off by default (due to a last moment performance regression?).
How is jai-ext going? I know I have enabled it successfully for a couple of
clients - is is it ready to be shown to users by default (so they can use
the image processing page to configure which operations to use).
