Devon, it looks like this blog post has already been published. I like to wait a day to collect content before publishing rather than editing a published post; publishing a completed post helps to maximise impact and clarity.
I removed the security advice and replaced it with an urging to upgrade. Note that the next maintenance is 2.8.5 not 2.8.4. The Jira release not link is broken for unauthenticated users.
