| Since vector tiles are a WMS output format, I was expecting the tiles to be generated differently, depending on the symbolizers in the SLD. Three features would be important in particular:
- When point symbolizers are defined, the point geometries should be included in the tiles. Even if the geometry is e.g. a polygon.
- Points should be included in neighbouring tiles, depending on the symbol size. This works well with other WMS formats.
- When text symbolizers are defined, point geometries should be included in the tiles as label points. Also these geometries should be repeated in neighbouring tiles, according to the dimensions of the label. Metatiling should also be considered to reduce repeated labels.
