| currently the wms-service-title is duplicated in wms-capabilities as service-title and rootlayer-title, in some wms clients, both these titles are displayed, which is quite redundant. In stead I suggest to facilitate to set a specific title for rootlayer in the WMS-service-config this issue relates to issue https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/browse/GEOS-7971
in mailinglist 7971 was not adviced, as an alternative I suggest to add a field rootlayer-title to WMS config (close to fields for rootlayer-authority-urls), if the WMS-rootlayer-title is kept empty, the service-title could be used anyway |
