This probably needs some qualification. There are community modules that we
use and need to go extension, but there is not enough
people to maintain everything, we have an ever growing code base, but the
set of maintainers is more or less stable...
so there is little choice but to start pruning bits without an active
maintainer to re-balance
(we have already done a bit of that, thing ogr module in geotools, gtopo30,
monitoring-hibernate here, with probably more to go in the future).
