that's welcomed news, those two modules have been without a proper
maintainer for too long.
As the maintainer of the module you have three loose, volunteer based
duties [1]:

   - review pull requests against the modules
   - answer questions from users about those modules on geoserver-users
   - look at tickets associated to the modules

Volunteer based means that you do that when you have time, it's not that
there is an ETA or anything on having things done,
but you need somehow to keep a "presence", e.g., being gone for months is
normally a sign that the module got back in
un-maintained state.

[1] I listed them roughly in order of priority, but mind, this is more or
less my feeling about the priorities, it's not anything
written in the project rules. Rationale:

   - First help those understanding open source and actually contributing
   to it, hence, PR review
   - Then help users that might have troubles using the module (e.g.,
   missetup and related troubles) and check the tickets are valid and
   reproducible
   - Whenever you want, address valid tickets associated to the module

The last is not something that you must do, the licence gives no right for
"free bug fixes" to users, in fact it states, quoting:

THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE PROGRAM, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE
LAW. EXCEPT WHEN OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS AND/OR

That said, it would be nice if you could have a look at a module tickets
every now and then, if there is any, of course :-)
