Is it fair to say that everything under "REST Services" in the Dev
Programming guide docs is out of date and no longer relevant?

And does anyone else think it might be useful to search the code for all
extension points and put a link on this page to the api docs for the
extension point class:

Ideally with some description of what the extension point is used for?
And perhaps a intro explaining how to use them in general?
