Hi all,

I just observed some odd behavior if there are two tables with the same name in
two different schemas and the schema is left blank when adding a data store (I
tested with PostGIS).

In such a scenario, only one table is listed when you attempt to publish a new
layer. However, in the "Edit Layer" form, the columns of both tables are listed
in section "Feature Type Details".

This seems to happen because JDBCFeatureSource#getColumnsMetadata calls
DatabaseMetaData#getColumns with null as schema and hence the JDBC driver
returns the columns of both tables.

Is this behavior intended, a known limitation or would you consider that a bug?
Or should one never leave the schema field empty when connecting to a database?

Cheers,
Stefan
