Thanks for your service Simone. As mentioned in meeting, I would be willing to act as project officer, but would encourage other volunteers to step forward. I am already geotools project officer and would be more than happy to "mentor" anyone acting as GeoServer officer.
The duties are very light: 1. Send email to treasurer on the off chance we spend money 2. Attend a board meeting (if osgeo wants something, or if we want something from osgeo) 3. Contact person for other osgeo groups (the board asks for an annual budget, marketing asks for a one-page handout, osgeo live asks for a QuickStart) 4. Make a slide for the OSGeo AGM 5.
