The pr introduced an extension point in the ComplexGeoJsonWriter to allows to customize the complex features GeoJSON encoding with respect to non mandatory attributes. By default the encoding mechanism has been left as before and no backward compatibility issue is foreseen. Details are on the Jira ticket linked above.
