Hi Andrea, with moving the GeoStyler extension to a dedicated repository, it will be easier for us to keep it up-to-date.
So yes, the source code for the extension can be removed from the geoserver repo and links should be updated. Daniel (@dnlkoch) will provide a PR for this. Thanks for pointing this out!
