When trying to recalculate a layers' attributes via the Geoserver Admin UI or
the REST API, the attributes are not refreshed as expected. If you delete the
layer and republish, it picks up the changes but this is not the desired
workflow.
The layer is from a Postgres v13.7 database with PostGIS and the data changes
within the database as expected.
This is the REST API call being used:
http://localhost:8080/geoserver/rest/workspaces/ (
http://localhost:8080/geoserver/rest/workspaces/ )

/datastores/

/featuretypes/
{featuretypename}
?recalculate=nativebbox,latlonbox,attributes
With workspace, datastorename and featuretypename filled in with correct values.
In the UI:
Go to Layers >
{Layer name}
> Scroll down to Feature Type Details > Click Reload feature type...
