Most buttons on GeoServer webpage show the following error when clicked:

When visiting the URL in the error message, it returns a full blown HTML page.
The XML parser seems to struggle with the doctype declaration.
This include every button from pagers (workspaces, stores, layers, etc), the
search field next to the pager, the buttons in the server status page, the
submit button in the global settings page, etc. Pretty much everything I have
tried returns the XML parsing error in JavaScript console, making GeoServer
unusable.
