Hi Jody, I found some time to finish both of my open pull requests #6314 [GEOS-10724]<https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/6314> and #6335 [GEOS-10743]<https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/6335> concerning the Resource framewok.
If they get approved, I can continue with my pending work: Throwing exceptions for missing files in general and introducing Optionals. Let me know, if I you see further problems.
