Do we have any feeler about the artifacts distribution, any way to see if
there is anything we can easily get rid of?
E.g., we could remove completely SNAPSHOTs of older versions (not just the
timestamped jars, the whole directory)
or maybe go nuclear and simply remove from the repository versions that are
N years old, even if tagged.

But before taking such decisions, we'd need to know where the bulk of the
component count comes from.
E.g., could it be that the nightly docker builds are accumulating, for
example?

I had a quick look at Nexus but I'm not finding summary/reporting abilities.
