The right questions already help me. It's about postgis stores.
Since there are several layers, it takes a while to try them out - and
there are also errors. I'll try to narrow down the problem further. The
url is not reachable by the public.

Hello,
for some reason unknown to me, my WMS service is no longer responding.
All other modules, such as WMS- C or WPS respond as expected.
I try clicking on the WMS- 1.3.0 button on the start page. I get no
response. But a WMS client like qgis does not find the service either.
I am sure it has worked before. However, I don't see anything in the
logs that can help me:

The WMS service itself is activated. I have renamed the directory of
my geodata and restarted it so that geoserver starts with the supplied
data. In this configuration I get a response as expected- the
wms-capabilities.
I have used version 2.22.1, but also 2.21.3 (with an older data
directory) - both without success.
Under Status/Modules the WebMapService is shown as active.
I have no more ideas. Any hints?
