According to the documentation <https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/developer/maven-guide/index.html#running-the-web-module-with-jetty>, by the command "*mvn jetty:run*", the web module can be run. However, the compiled extensions are not available in this case. This problem does not appear while running geoserver by the Apache Tomcat.
