Daniele, thank you for your reply. Let's see if I got it right:
ImageReader.red - relies more on the file system, good if the server has
restrained RAM;
JAI - relies more on memory, good if the server has enough resources and
usage load is heavier.
Daniele, if I should have read this in the man pages before asking it here,
please don't exitate pointing me there :)
