Hi, I'm working on a configuration for the geowebcache instance integrated into GeoServer, but have trouble getting GeoServer to pick it up. The documentation (http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/geowebcache/setup.html) says:
"If you need to use more of the GeoWebCache’s features than the automatic configuration offers then you can create a gwc directory inside the GeoServer data directory, and in it place a geowebcache.xml file." I have GeoServer deployed in Tomcat, under the path D:\Program Files\Tomcat-6.0.29\webapps\geoserver, and hence put the configuration file under D:\Program Files\Tomcat-6.0.29\webapps\geoserver\data\gwc\geowebcache.xml. This does not seem to work, though. The only thing I see in the logs regarding GeoWebCache on startup is: 05 aug 16:56:03 ERROR [layer.TileLayerDispatcher] - Error reading service information from D:\Program Files\Tomcat-6.0.29\webapps\geoserver\..\resources: Error parsing file D:\Program Files\Tomcat-6.0.29\webapps\geoserver\..\resources\geowebcache.xml My question is: what is the correct location of the configuration file, how can I verify that it is being used and what is this strange file location that is mentioned in the log?
