Depending on what sort of processing and massaging you want to do, the
app-schema extension may accomplish what you want. It is a pain to set
up- no GUI - and there are some minor issues that the documentation
doesn't quite prepare you for, but it is quite powerful. There are a
couple of us now on the list working our way through the tutorial,
flushing out bugs and having visions of app-schema GUIs dancing in our
heads, so you won't be alone.
