Hi all guys,
I'm trying to understand this simple problem but I can't understand...

my security files:

/layers.properties
#Tue Aug 10 12:11:48 CEST 2010
irpi.rain_gauge_network.r=ROLE_TEST
mode=CHALLENGE

/users.properties
#Tue Aug 10 12:11:28 CEST 2010
user=XXXXX,ROLE_WFS_READ,enabled
XXXX=XXXXX,ROLE_ADMINISTRATOR,enabled
test=test-test,ROLE_TEST,enabled

/services.properties
#Tue Aug 10 12:12:03 CEST 2010

I have around 100 layers into geoserver.
I'm using Udig to test this configuration.

- when I call my wfs server from udig I can see all the layers (it is
normal?? may be this is related to CHALLENGE..)
- when I ask with udig (getfeature) for a layer different from the one
written into the layers.properties I obtain a user and password window.
If I don't give username and password and I press cancel the map
appears! I suppose it shouldn't..
- if, on the opposite, I try to give the correct username and password I
still obtain another login window.. and so on

Surely it's my fault.. but I can't understand..
please help me to solve this problem..

thanks

Ivan
