Dear List,

I went through all the (many) previous posts about the subject and still can
not figure out what's wrong. Thanks beforehand for your kindly patience.

I downloaded landsat images from ftp://ftp.glcf.umiacs.umd.edu and produced
pseudo RGB outputs with GRASS and then exported it to GeoTiFF with the
option nodata=0. The nodata region of INDIVIDUAL files display transparent
in QGIS but not in geoserver which displays it as black. I made an image
mosaic of 4 such contiguous images and no matter how i play with the
Transparency and BackgroundValues options, I cannot make nodata pixels
transparent http://old.nabble.com/file/p29503287/screenshot.png . Please
find below information about my configuration and the GeoTiFF images. Two
sample GeoTiFF files can be downloaded from
http://ekumen.homelinux.net/image1.zip
http://ekumen.homelinux.net/image2.zip

Did not think about creating an alpha channel because I remember that an
ImageMosaic I had produced with the very same images had worked in Geoserver
a couple of months ago. I just can't remember how :o(

your help will be appreciated
best
