Hi Greg, You are running into the cross domain policy stuff. Images are allowed to be used cross domains (domain means protocol, domain and port) but xml isn't.
You need to either setup a proxy or if possible mark the server you are going to and coming from as trusted somehow (i believe you can do something with a crossdomain, xml but it can be that that one was only working for flash) Cheers Kris Met vriendelijke groet, Kind regards, Kristiaan Geusebroek Consultant [cid:[email protected]] [cid:[email protected]] Email: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Tel: +31 (0)35 538 1921 Fax: +31 (0)35 538 1922 Mobiel: +31 (0)6 3069 7223 Utrechtseweg 49 1213 TL Hilversum The Netherlands http://www.xebia.com<http://www.xebia.com/> Xebia Blog: http://blog.xebia.com/ Xebia Podcast: http://podcast.xebia.com/ On Sep 9, 2010, at 8:26 AM, Greg Toomey wrote: Hi All Geoserver: 1.7.6 I am trying to get WFS working and have been using the sample wfs-t.html on the geoserver server (/geoserver/www/wfs-t.html) with no trouble. However, as soon as I try and access the wfs layer, tasmania roads, from another web server (copy the wfs-t.html to another webserver) I can not get it to work. The wms layers in the wfs-t.html sample work fine but the wfs layers do not display. I have attached the wfs-t.html file I have been using with the only changes to the original file being the absolute reference to the file (http://gisgeosrv:8080/geoserver/wfs rather than /geoserver/wfs). Any help appreciated and if you need more info or anything clarified please let me know.
