Hi,
I have just tried to install opengeosuite-2.1.3 on Ubuntu 10.04
It al went smoothly...even the installation of java and the setting of the
JAVA_HOME variable.
when I start the app with "sudo ./opengeo-suite" i get this...
initdb: cannot be run as root
Please log in (using, e.g., "su") as the (unprivileged) user that will
own the server process.
PgSQL initdb failed with return value 1
PostGIS data directory missing:
/usr/local/opengeosuite-2.1.3/pgsql/scripts/../../pgdata/root
createdb: could not connect to database postgres: could not connect to server:
No such file or directory
Is the server running locally and accepting
connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.54321"?

is this bad?
