Hi,

I am developing a web viewer based on OpenLayers. We have planned to include
an option that allows the user to export data from a set of layers. This option
is also thought to allow the user to define filters based on the variables of
such layers.

I can use Geoserver in order to export data in formats such as KML, CSV,
Shape, GML2 or GML3. In this regard, i was wondering whether wouldn't be it
better to use OPeNDAP. Is it better for this kind of actions? In that case, I
would also install an OPeNDAP server, so that the export action would send the
requests to this one (instead of using Geoserver for this specific action).

 What do you think?

I would really appreciate any comments about this issue. I am lost.

 Regards,
