Nay, those tables I've nothing to do with GeoServer.

I presume you have to restrict the tables your Oracle user has access to, or 
specify a schema in the GS connection to Oracle... funny though that GeoServer 
lists tables that are not registered in the Oracle Spatial metadata table.
