Hi, I know this is a opengeo forum question, but the GetSatisfaction site is timeouting the whole time for me.
I installed the OpenGeoSuite community edition. I want to integrate postgis and upload Shapefiles into it. I read that this was already packaged with the Suite. After the installation of the OpenGeoSuite I couldn´t start the postgis pgadmin site and there appears to be no postgre/postgis installed on my machine (Ubuntu 8.04). I have the folder pgdata pgsql and suite. Inside the folder "suite" are all the apps (geoserver7geowebcache/geoexplorer etc etc). Inside the pgdata folder is only the _pgdata.log file, and inside the pgsql are the folders bin, includem lib, scripts, share, and ssl. My questions are....1./ Since geoserver and all the other apps work, I assume that the community edition installation was successful. Is this correct? ..2/ Do I have to install Postgre with Postgis and then pgAdmin3 now and somehow link it to the dashboard? 3./ after the installation i was asked to start the dashboard, which didn´t start anything. How does this all come together?
