Hi list, I want to create some different users in order to control the acces to certain layers, but to be honest I don't know how to do it. I've read the documentation but I'm a bit confused. What I want to do is:
User "public" only can access Layer1 to Layer5 via WMS and deny access via WFS User "another_user" only can access Layer6 to Layer10 via WMS and deny access via WFS ... And so on. Until now, I've created a user called "public" and I've created also an access rule wms.* ROLE_USER_PUBLIC But using a desktop gis software I can't connect to the WMS (from gvSIG and from QGis) Can someone, please, give some clues about how to achieve this task?? How Many ROLEs are there in GeoServer?? Thanks.
